
Suzanne Pleshette (January 31, 1937 - January 19 January 19, 2008) was an American film, theatre TV, and voice actress. 1. Pleshette began her career in the theatre and started appearing in films towards the end of the 1950s. She later appeared in prominent films like Rome Adventure (1962), Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (1963), and Spirited Away (2001). She also appeared in numerous TV productions, mostly in guest roles. She also was Emily Hartley on The Bob Newhart Show from 1972 to 1978. She received a number of Emmy Award nominations for her work. Pleshette was born on January 31 1937 in the New York City neighborhood of Brooklyn Heights, to Geraldine (nee Kaplan)[1 and Eugene Pleshette. Her parents were Jewish and children of immigrants from Russia, Austria-Hungary. She was the daughter of Geraldine Rivers, a performer and dancer.
